The job itself

Teaching Assistant with classroom experience is required at Pollington-Balne Church of England Primary School.

We seek a caring, friendly and enthusiastic person to join our committed team of staff. Working within all classes in school (working under the direction and guidance of the class teachers). Be able to work with groups of children and deliver planning under the supervision of the class teachers. You must have a good standard of education, the ability to liaise effectively with other colleagues and work reflectively as part of a team. Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting is essential, preferably with a Teaching Support qualification. A First Aid qualification would also be advantageous.

A willingness to participate in the life of the school and promote the school within the community is an integral part of this role; a flexible approach and a desire to embrace creativity and try new things is also preferable.

Volunteering 

 

There is always a warm welcome to volunteers in school.  Our small group of volunteers have worked in our classrooms, listened to children read, helped in the garden areas and made wreaths with the children for Remembrance day.  If you have a skill you could share with our children we would love to discuss this with you.
