Policies

School policies cover every aspect of school life. Below are some of our most important policies for your reference. If you want to know our policy on something that is not listed, please ask the school office.

All policies are reviewed on a yearly basis unless addendums need to be made betwixt, they will then be reviewed more regularly.  However, due to the recent federation at Cowick and Pollington-Balne in September 2023 all policies are now subject to a revised schedule or review over the next academic year 2023/24.

Winter Weather Plan

         What can parents do to help in severe weather

 

  • Please visit the East Riding of Yorkshire Council website for more information about gritting routes and travel issues around the East Riding so you can plan your journey safely.
  • Don’t forget suitable warm clothing for your child – gloves, hats, scarves, wellies etc. or even a change of clothing.
  • If you are a working parent or feel you may have a problem with a sudden earlier pick up, please could you put a back-up plan in place with another family member or parent and inform the school.  This will allow staff to leave earlier for their safety if weather dictates.
