Class 4

Welcome to Class 4!

What an exciting year of learning we have ahead of us!

Year 3, welcome to Key Stage 2! Our expectations across KS2 are high but I know you will more than readily rise to the challenge!

Year 4, I am SO EXCITED to be teaching you again and look forward to sharing in your successes as we build on the amazing work you did last year!

During the Autumn Term, we shall be using our Geographical and Science skills to compare Africa and the UK in relation to climate and biomes while, in RE, we will consider what what kind of world Jesus wanted. We shall be developing our French skills and celebrating Black History Month, European Day of Languages as well as the Christian Festivals such as Harvest and Christmas. In Spring, we shall be working as Historians and Artists to learn about how different Celtic tribes responded to the Roman Invasion. In particular we shall be looking at two female leaders - Boudicca and Cartamandua - using evidence to support our judgements on which (if either!) we consider to have been the stronger most effective leader. In the Summer Term we shall be building on our Scientific learning from throughout the year to understand the digestive system and what happens to our food when we eat.

Throughout the year we also have lots of additional sporting opportunities to look forward to with a variety of external providers, including swimming and rugby, as well as competitions and more specialist music learning with the support of the Music Service!

Please keep checking this page for news and events - information will be added as well as regular homework details.
