Work

Good afternoon

I hope you and your families are safe and well!

I have recently updated your years home learning page. You now have a writing, reading, maths and science tasks which i would like you to complete please.

Your Maths tasks are 'crack the code' challenges. These are based upon algebra, percentages and decimals. I know we have only dipped our toes in with algebra but remember what i said. Read the question carefully, take your time and being determined!. If you don't know it move on a come back to it later.

Your reading task is to carry on working through your SATS book. It is important that you are testing yourself on different reading texts and questions as this will help improve your understanding of how to interpret and answer questions. Remember to read daily for pleasure aswell - not long 10/15 minutes.

For your writing, i would like you to write a letter to the NHS Staff. At this time, they are showing how courageous, brave and caring they are by looking after many people who are currently not well. Tell them how good of a job they are doing and how everyone is so proud of them! I have include a year 3/4 & 5/6 spelling mat for you to include words into your letters. Don't forget higher level punctuation such as : Colons, semi colons, synonyms and parenthesis.

The GPS SATs book is there for use as well. Pages 17, 18, 20 and 33 would be beneficial to attempt. If these have been completed, try pages 34 onwards as spellings rules are also important.

I would love to see a copy of these, so please take a picture and email them to this address - guestp@pollington-balne.eriding.net.

For Science, i would like you to find out about the heart and how it functions in the body. This can be done however you like! Can you create a replica heart by using household materials and then either write instructions/video yourself explaining how the heart works? Once again if you create a replica heart - send a picture of it to my email address!

Keep looking after yourself and your families. Stay safe guys smiley
