National Superhero Day
Did you know that Tuesday 28th April is National Superhero day?
It could be that you want to celebrate the doctors, nurses and careworkers who are doing amazing things
during this challenging time, or think about some of the other key workers. What about the adults who are
helping you at home? Or maybe you consider someone else in your life to be a superhero for another
reason!
What will be their super power?
How would we recognise them?
Where do they live?
Perhaps you could draw/write a short comic strip to introduce them!
International Guide Dog Day
Wednesday 29th April is International Guide Dog Day.
Why not find out about the important role that Guide Dogs do and hw they are trained by visiting the guide Dogs for the Blind website.
Perhaps you could create an information leaflet to share what you have learned with others.
International Dance Day
Wednesday 29th April is also International Dance Day!
It marks the birthday of Jean-Georges Noverre (1727-1810), creator of modern ballet.
So, let's do some dancing for maths!
Use chalks outside or sheets of paper to make a grid with numbers like this big enough to put your feet on:
Ask an adult to call out times-table questions and use your feet to show the answers!
Eg. 3 x 5 = 15 Put your left foot on 1 and your right foot on 5
You could try ten more and ten less too!
