Homework

Monday 13th January:

Spellings to be practised for this Friday are as followed. Year 5 will be tested on the first 10 spellings of the Year 3/4 spelling list. Year 6, will be tested on the first 12 spellings from the year 5/6 spelling list. It is vitally important that the children ensure they are practising their spellings on a weekly basis. These spelling list have been included in their homework diaries today.

The children will have their times table tests this coming Wednesday and Friday. These need to be practised, as their times table knowledge is a major part of their maths curriculum in school. As much work as we do in school, this needs to be practised at home as it will make their work easier for them.

SATS Club:

For the year six children, i would like them to complete three reading tests by Thursday 23rd January (Stig of the Dump,Beamish and A swimmer in my dream). For this coming Thursday (16th), i would like them to attempt the Stig of the Dump reading comprehension text. We will then go over the answers to the question, in this weeks SATS club. It is important that the children attempt this on their, as it will give myself an accurate representation of where they are at. Please attempt these questions in pencil.

Thanks
