Behaviour and Bullying

Pupil Code of Conduct

Pupils are expected to:

  • Behave in a way which meets the school values
  • Show respect to members of staff and each other
  • In class, make it possible for all pupils to learn
  • Move quietly around the school
  • Treat the school buildings and school property with respect
  • Wear the correct uniform at all times
  • Accept sanctions when given

Bullying

Bullying is defined as the repetitive, intentional harming of one person or group by another person or group, where one person is more powerful than the other.

Bullying is, therefore:

  • Deliberately hurtful
  • Repeated, often over a period of time
  • Difficult to defend against

It does not include pupils falling out with each other, and whilst this can be hurtful, this is a normal part of growing up. The school will provide support to pupils who would like to make friends again if they do not feel able to do this themselves.

If you would like to report a bullying incident, please do this via the school office.

Thank you
