  • Wild Cats Day - Leeds United

Wed 11 Mar 2020 Ms Warren

Following on from our wildcats after school provision through Leeds United we have taken 14 girls to a special day of training sessions,  Q and A with 3 team members from the Leeds United Ladies Squad and returned with goody bags!

The girls have spent the day with other west riding schools doing football based fitness and team building exercises.  They have run their little socks off, enjoyed every minute and can't wait for their training session tomorrow night!

A big thank you goes out to everyone involved today especially Mrs Woodward, our coach and one of our current school governors who gives up her time to encourage girls fitness through Leeds United Wildcats.

Our after school sessions are open to all girls from Yr 2 upwards and all abilities are welcome to join in the fun.  Please speak to Ms Warren if your child would like more details.

  • First Week Back - message from Mrs Manyanya

    Fri 06 Sep 2019
    Good Evening,
The pupils have had a fantastic first week back. We started the week by looking at the problems of recycled plastics, and have ended with a whole day with Dale. We have been able to secure funding to have Dale join us for the whole day on Friday, which means that the pupils have access to high quality PE for longer during the school day.
The weather has been interesting this week, and I would encourage children to bring coats (and wellies if needed) with them, as it has been changeable during the day. As we get further into Autumn, we are likely to get even more showers!
Thank you for your continuing support of the school. We look forward to seeing you next week at the assembly on Monday morning (09.30am in the Church) or at the Meet the Teacher event on Thursday afternoon from 3.30pm (please come to reception entrance to sign in).
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and the weather stays bright and cheerful.
    Mrs Manyanya
  • The Mayor's Show

    Fri 03 May 2019

A massive "Thank you" to all the pupils and parents involved in the Mayor's show.

Pollington pupils were a credit to the school. They were perfectly turned out and well behaved during their crowd pleasing performance. Being the youngest choir there, with pupils from Years 1, 2 & 3, they performed at a standard that was just as good as any of the older pupils from other schools.

We are hoping to put on a repeat performance in school, so that any pupils who were unable to come on the evening, but who would like to be in the choir can join us. We will send further information when the date is confirmed.
