School Uniform
Dressed for Work
We feel that a uniform fosters a sense of belonging to, and being proud of, the school.
We therefore encourage the children to wear a uniform - one of which is widely
available and thus easily obtainable.
Please name all items of uniform to avoid upset and confusion. Items can
then be quickly returned to the owner.
BOYS:
Dark grey long or short trousers,
white shirt or polo shirt,
navy blue jumper or sweatshirt.
GIRLS:
Navy blue skirt, pinafore or trousers,
white shirt or polo shirt.
For warm weather, if preferred a pale blue stripe/checked dress.
PE:
White shorts and a white t-shirt.
Pumps, trainers and football boots as appropriate.
A drawstring bag is best for PE kit - please avoid large bags as our
cloakroom space is limiited.
Long hair must be tied back.
Tracksuits for KS2 are permitted during the winter months for use outside.
Flat heeled, appropriate foortwear, not trainers complement the uniform.
Shoes should have fasteners which the children can manage un-aided. We
discourage the wearing of trousers and tops with logos other than the
school's.
School sweatshirts, polo shirts and t-shirts with logo are available through
school and provide good value. These are available via the school office.
ART/CRAFT:
Please provide an overall to protect cloting. An old t-shirt or a loose fitting
shirt, would be ideal for this purpose. We cannot be held responsible for any
damage to clothing, especially if an overall is not worn.
JEWELLERY:
Children do not need to wear jewllery or nail varnish for school, they look
inappropriate with school uniform. Watches may be worn, if appropriate, but
should be removed during PE or games work.
If ears are pierced, only plain studs are acceptable.
In the interests of safety, children are not allowed to wear earrings for PE and
the children will be responsible for taking them out and their safe keeping.
Better still, leave them at home on PE days.
