School Meals

Picture
The school meals provided at Pollington-Balne Primary are freshly prepared on site.
The Council's Catering Unit works together with schools to help them provide a healthy
balanced diet, operate within statutory guidelines and follows catering industry best
practice. The schools offer a wide range of food with, where possible, choices on each
course, we have even started to use vegetables grown in our own school garden!

What is on offer for the children?
Healthy main meals, drinks and desserts are available for East Riding school children
and the menu changes each week. If your child has a special dietary need, please
contact the school and arrangements can be made to suit them.
To view the current menus on offer, please use the link at the bottom of the page.

How much does a school meal cost?
School meals currently cost £9.75 per week (£1.95 per day), which should be sent into
the school office on a Monday morning, any cheques should be made payable to
E.R.Y.C.
We ask that 1 months notice is given when changing from packed lunch to school
dinner (or vice-versa) to assist our cook with the ordering and planning of food and
menus.

are in receipt of Income Support or Job Seekers Allowance (income-based). Also
